--Rev. Dr. Daniel Asibuoh-Sarpong
Thinking of what may happen in the future can bring excitement & joy for some & anxieties, worries, & fear for others. Even as children of God, we're not exempt from feelings & thoughts of worries & fears concerning the future. That's why God’s Word many times reminds us not to fear & worry abt anything. *Friend* , as *Jeremiah 29:11* says, you can trust in the Lord with regard to your future. He Who's faithful, good, & true holds it. When you surrender your worries & thoughts abt the uncertainties of the future to the Father, you know you've placed it in the safest & most reliable hands! He’s got you, & you've got this! Entrust your future to God.
*Prayer point* : Heavenly Father, thank You, for I can entrust my future into Your hands. I give up all my anxieties about the future to You because I know Your plans for me are great and will not harm me. I know that I won’t be disappointed as I put my hope in You in Jesus’ name. *Amen*
God’s faithfulness is unlike any other. Faithfulness can mean being faithful to show up in prayer meetings & church gatherings. It can mean being faithful in doing one’s tasks or assignments or being faithful to abide by your community’s rules & regulations. The list goes on as we define faithfulness, but God’s faithfulness, as stated in *Deut.7:9,* is unlike any other we've made & known. *Friend*, when God says He's faithful to keep His covenant & mercy for all generations that love Him, it means He isn’t going to back out on His word & forget a single heir of yours. He's committed to showing up, providing, guiding, prospering, & leading all your family lineage down to the last generation. What a powerful seed it's when you choose to love & serve the Lord!
*Prayer point:* Faithful God, thank You for being faithful to all Your promises! Thank You for blessing me and the next generation after me as I faithfully serve You and keep Your commands. My family lineage is blessed for thousands of years, for we choose to serve and honor You in Jesus’ name! *Amen*
How do you love someone who has betrayed your trust? How can you show kindness to someone who has plotted & destroyed your career? While we're mandated to love one another, *Jn.13:34* , sometimes it can be easier said than done. *Friend* , if you're finding yourself in this situation, I pray that the Lord will direct your heart into God’s expression of love & the patience & endurance that comes from Christ, as *2Thess.3:5* says. Only the Lord can draw us to the love of God, which causes us to produce the fruit of the Spirit. As you fix your eyes on Jesus, thinking & meditating abt the things He endured so that you may be won into this new life with Him, may you be empowered to do the same for others. Know that you're more capable of loving others than you think you're because Christ lives in you!
*Prayer point:* Lord God, thank You for directing my heart to the knowledge and revelation of God’s love whenever I am struggling to love others. As I come to know how much heaven loves me, thank You for empowering me to show the same compassion, mercy, and grace for others. May You be glorified as I choose to walk with Your Spirit in Jesus’ name! Amen.
We all can be too preoccupied with the temporary things in this life. After all, we're all thriving & striving to live each day; not just for ourselves but for our families & loved ones. God’s children, however, are renewed in this kind of mindset. We no longer live for ourselves or for any other purpose but for the One Who truly gave us life, *2Corinth.5:15*.*Friend*, the moment we take our eyes off our main purpose, which is Christ Jesus, is the moment we start to become stressed, burnt out, & doubtful abt situations in life. When we drift away from the presence of God, that's when we realize there's no true life apart from Him! Is there anything better than this life, *Ps.63:3*? There is!
*Prayer point* : Lord Jesus, You are my purpose. Your love is greater than this life because this life is temporary, but You are the Eternal One. I look only to You and seek Your presence each day, for only You can satisfy my longing heart in Jesus’ name. *Amen* .
Conception & life aren't science or manmade. Only God can bring a tiny heartbeat to life & create two tiny cells to grow into a human being inside a woman’s body! It was God Who formed you, & He already knew you at the time of your conception! The whole world should know that everyone is truly loved & cared for at conception by Heavenly Father! *Friend* , while you were still inside your mother’s womb, God already had a great destiny in mind for you! Just as God had appointed Jeremiah to be a prophet & sanctified him while he was still inside the womb, *Jeremiah 1:5,* the Father too has great plans & a future in mind for you! May God encounter you & speak to you about His plan for you! Glory!
*Prayer point*: Heavenly Father, thank You for all Your wonderful plans for me even from the time of my conception. This knowledge is so wonderful, and Your love is overwhelming in my heart. I don’t need to believe the enemy’s lies, for I know that You will make sure Your plans for me and my family will come to pass in Jesus’ name! *Amen* .
Has anyone ever told you something’s wrong with the way you look? Perhaps someone criticized how you smile or the way you talk, walk, & so on. People’s negative comments abt who we're can affect us greatly, & if we're not careful, we might begin to believe in such lies. *Friend*, as *Psalms 139:14* says, you're fearfully & wonderfully made by God! He's your Creator, the One Who formed you in your mother’s womb! So, if someone comes to criticize the way you look, insult your skin color, or make you feel inadequate, that person isn’t insulting you, but God. Don’t let such negative words affect you, & remember whoever insults the creation insults the Maker!
*Prayer point* : Heavenly Father, You made me and fashioned my entire being from the inside and out with great wisdom and passion. Who am I to criticize the work of Your hands? I honor my body and appreciate how I am made! I bless and forgive those who insult me physically, for they do not know what they are doing. In Jesus’ name! *Amen* .
The way we view God affects us significantly as a person whether we're aware of it or not. A person who thinks that God is disappointed in him, or displeased with him has poor confidence, lives in fear, & tries to gain God's approval rather than living approved & loved by God. When we lack the knowledge of God’s Word & how He thinks abt us, the enemy can use it to our disadvantage. As *Psalms 139:17-18* says, God's thoughts abt you are precious, & they outnumber the grains of sand; you won’t be able to count them! For His thoughts abt you're so wonderful that no man can count how many those wonderful thoughts are! *Friend*, you're precious in the Father’s sight!
*Prayer point* : Heavenly Father, thank You for all Your thoughts about me are wonderful and great. I rebuke every lie the enemy has fed me in negativity about You. I know You love me, and Your good thoughts about me outnumber the grains of sand in Jesus’ name! *Amen*.
The uncertainties of tomorrow can bring some of us a degree of worry, anxiety, & fear of the future. God isn’t criticizing or rejecting anyone because of weak faith. He understands what we're going thru. That's why He gave us His Word to assure us that He's with us in the journey of life. *Friend*, the Lord even promised that He goes b4 us, *Deut.31:8* . He already went ahead to bring a solution to that problem of yours. He already went ahead to sanctify the place & bless the event. He promised He'll not fail you or forsake you. You don’t have to be discouraged, for He's with you! It’s His promise & the only thing that's certain to come to pass! Be encouraged, you're not alone!
*Prayer point*: Lord God, thank You for going ahead of me and securing my footing in places where I may go. I don't have to be afraid or be discouraged, for I know that You are with me on this journey. You will never leave me or forsake me, and that truth is more than enough in Jesus’ name! *Amen* .
